Gozo - A beautiful day on Malta's sister island!
We will spend the day raoming around Gozo, a tiny island full of beauty and charm just a 25-minute ferry trip away!
We start the day from the mysterious Gġantija temples – the oldest free-standing temples in the world, built between 3600 and 2500 years BC.
We will also visit Dwejra, a Natura2000 site, take a short walk on the cliffs, look for fossils and the famous Blue Hole! Weather permitting, we can take a magical 20-minute boat trip in Gozo’s crystal clear waters.
We will briefly stop at the craft village where you can taste local delicacies and admire and purchase Maltese lace, filigree silver and much more.
Next stop will take us to the salt pans near Marsalforn and we will learn how salt has been made in the Maltese islands for thousands of years.
In the midst of all of this we will stop for lunch in a traditional Maltese Restaurant.
We will finish the day in Victoria, Gozo’s capital and climb up to the 17th century citadel built by the knights of St John.
