Higher Representation of Women in Decision Making Roles - Panel Discussion & High Tea

It is proven again and again that having more women in decision making roles and at the help, helps the company achieve better results.  The way they lead, the decision process is very much different than that of their male counterparts, yet we are still falling way behind when it comes to a comparison.

The purpose of the discussion is to explore, why the disperate is so high, if and why women tend to hold themselves back and not apply for these positions and what our panelists are doing that is achieving success.

For this event, we are pleased that we will be joined by Her Royal Highness, Sophie Duchess of Edinburgh, together with some esteemed guests including Dr. Lydia Abela, an Attorney by profession and spouse of the current Prime Minister of Malta; Mrs. AnneMarie Grech, a teacher by profession and spouse of the leader of the opposition; Mr. Geoffrey Fichte, CEO of HSBC Bank and Mr. Tristan Gilchrist, Deputy British High Commisioner for Malta.

The Panelists included:

Moderator for the Panel Discussion:

  • Helen Chorley, Angel Investor, Host of She Word -Women in Business and Public Speaker

The discussion by the Panel was insightful and impactful. It left everyone feeling that there is so much more that needs to be done to provide women with the opportunity and support to increase the numbers of representation in decision making roles. HRH contributed towards the discussion and emphasising the need for women to help other women participate in these roles and not only from the aspect of Business / Corporate world but also from a Political Arena as well.

Event was sponsored by HSBC Malta, whom we thank for their support.
